Eye+Blaster Kits

Smart-Blaster allows you to sit back, relax & enjoy all your home entertainment equipment from any location in the house.

Smart-Blaster will work effectively with almost all IR controlled equipment, making it the only truly universal solution on the market.

Smart-Blaster is widely recognized as the only effective solution for Virgin Media, allowing reliable access and control for the VBox and V+ from any room in the house.

When used with Smart-Eye (sold separately or as a kit) Smart-Blaster will repeat any remote commands received by the eye to all your video equipment located in your lounge. So you can remotely control your Virgin , Sky , Media PC, satellite receiver, and anything else in the same room with it such as a DVD , VCR, HDD, PVR etc. from any room in the house, allowing you to change channel, play, pause, rewind, etc.

Smart-Blaster is equipped with very high power IR emitters to re-emit (“Blast”) any IR remote control signal that is received by the Smart-Eye, so controlling any video equipment located near it such as DVD recorder, PVRs, VCR, Media PC, etc... It produces a strong enough output signal to guarantee bounce-back under almost all conditions so does not need to face the equipment, and no unsightly ‘strap-ons’ (adhesive emitters) are required, simply place Smart-Blaster with your equipment, with the lens facing out into the room.

Smart-Blaster has ultra-low power consumption, allowing up to 8 Smart-Eyes to be connected with it to a single Sky Digibox without an additional power supply. 1

Smart-Blaster can take its power from your Sky digibox, but if you don’t have Sky, you simply use the separate power supply unit included.

So how do I use it?

For one extra outlet: Connect Smart-Blaster’s “TV in” socket directly to the ‘RF output’ connector at the back of your signal source with the coaxial lead supplied, and place the Blaster by the side or top of your equipment, near the front and with the lens facing out into the room. Connect Smart-Eye’s plug-through section directly into the back of your second TV, stick the round pickup onto the front edge or side the TV using the non-marking reusable adhesive provided. Connect the coaxial cable from the Smart-Eye to the Smart-Blaster, connect the power supply, check the green LED comes on, and you’re done.

For Multiple outlets: For use with two or more remote TVs, simply use our Eye-compatible splitter to connect a Smart-Eye to each remote TV, then connect the Smart-Blaster as above.
