HIDEAWAY allows you to hide all your AV equipment out of sight, but still allows you to control it just like it was out in the room with you. Shut the cupboard door on the flashing lights and humming fans.

HIDEAWAY will work effectively with almost all IR controlled equipment, making it the only truly universal solution on the market. It even works effectively with Sky+ and Sky HD, which other IR repeaters have trouble with.

HIDEAWAY is the only effective solution for Virgin Media, allowing reliable access and control for the VBox and V+

HIDEAWAY can be interfaced with our MILESTONE CAT5-video system, allowing both local and remote IR control of all your AV equipment. The Master IR outout simply attaches to the MS input with a standard 1:1 stereo jack lead.

HIDEAWAY can even be used with our Sky Signal Adapter, to signal directly into the RF2 socket on a Sky digibox.

HIDEAWAY is equipped with a very high power IR emitter to re-emit (“Blast”) any IR remote control signal that is received by the pickup, so controlling any video equipment located near it such as DVD recorder, PVRs, VCR, Media PC, etc... It produces a strong enough output signal to guarantee bounce-back under almost all conditions so does not need to face the equipment, and you don’t have loads of unsightly little strap-ons (adhesive emitters), simply place the emitter with your equipment, with the lens facing forwards.

HIDEAWAY is green. Hideaway’s ultra-low power technology takes less than 12mA of current, and only needs more when it is actually emitting a signal.

So how do I use it?

1 The main unit can be located inside your cupboard, with the power supply connected.

2 The pickup goes outside where it can see your handset in operation, (if you need to drill a hole in the cupboard the pickup’s plug is just 9.5mm across).

3 The emitter goes towards the front of the cupboard facing outwards, only one is required in most cases as the output power is so high.

That is it, ready to use!

If you have a cupboard in two sections, an additional emitter can be connected as needed.
